The word Vinyasa means “breath-synchronized movement.” In other words, the teacher will instruct you to align your movement from one pose to the next with awareness of how to inhale or exhale. Based on the sequence of Ashtanga poses, Vinyasa builds upper-body strength as well as flexibility and balance. The Vinyasa experience can be best described as exercise with a spiritual quality. Students come away with the good feelings of a full body workout and quiet relaxation.

BIKRAM YOGA: Sweat, Burn and Detoxify
Named after it's creator, Indian yogi Bikram Choudhury who created a specific sequence of 26 yoga poses ideally practiced in a space heated to 105°F with a humidity level of 40%. This Hot Yoga is believed to stimulate the immune system and restore health to every joint, muscle, and organ of the body. This is achieved through detoxification of the body via extreme sweat output. Additional benefits include burning 500 - 1250 calories depending on the person.
CANDLE LIT YOGA: Relaxing to Surrender and Calm
Escape the bright city lights to the soft relaxing glow of candlelight. Quiet the mind and body with this meditative healing practice. Dissolve tension and experience a deep sense of well-being that will support you well after the session is over. Less active than most Vinyasa classes, this introspective practice strikes a balance between movement & stillness, strength & surrender, leaving you open, refreshed and at peace.
